Fashion insiders and economists alike predicted an increase in sales for major publications' highly-anticipated September Issue from last year. The recovering economy, coupled with the mags' choices for cover girls should have been enough. However, statistics show that Vogue, InStyle and Elle, among others have seen a downturn of as much as 14%.
