All over the S/S 2011 runways earlier this year, trend spotters identified a look not defined by silhouette or fabric choice, but by lip color. At shows such as Marc by Marc Jacobs and Ohne Titel (among others), a bright orange lip replaced the classic red that we have seen for the past few seasons. As the economy seems to be picking up ever-so-slightly and the industry is beginning to bounce back, designers are shying away from sad, moody colors and returning to the bright, bold hues we once loved.
