kick ass-most appropriate title to a movie in years
I just got back from seeing the new pseudo-superhero movie, "Kick Ass." It was quite entertaining. Really funny, and the young girl in the movie (see photo) is unbelievable. Chloe Moretz (who you may have seen playing Rachel in "(500) Days of Summer," where she was also a scene-stealer) is literally 13 years old, and is leaps and bounds ahead of her time playing "Hit Girl" and owning the shit out of pretty much every male extra in the movie. At one point, (keep in mind I have no idea what I'm talking about, nor have I ever held a gun) she discharges the magazines or cartridges or whatever from her guns and reloads in the air while running forward and stabbing bad guys. Overall, she was epically badass. Besides my obvious awe of this little genius, the male lead, "Kick Ass" aka "Dave" (totally anti-climactic real name) is super cute and scared shitless for most of the movie-in a kind of adorable way. Christopher Mintz-Plasse (also known as "McLovin") is alright--kind of the same voice and demeanor of "McLovin" but I guess you do what you can with what you've got. In conclusion, I totally recommend this movie if you like action or comedy or teenage angst/horniness or comics or violence or back alley sex scenes or bazookas or jet packs. Obviously there's something for everyone. Enjoy it.
